Evelyn (Evie)

Frazier

FOUNDER, PRESIDENT

Dr. Evie Frazier is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician, founder of Pathways Developmental Pediatrics, and the visionary behind The Strength Initiative. A Richmond native with deep roots in women’s and children’s health, Evie studied Bioethics at the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar, earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, and completed both her Pediatrics Residency and Fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at UVA. She practiced at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond before launching her private practice in 2017.

Evie’s journey into strength training came later in life—in fact, she grew up immersed in music and the arts. It wasn’t until age 39 that she discovered weightlifting and quickly grew passionate about the transformational power of strength—for body, mind, and community. The Strength Initiative was born out of that passion and her belief that all women, regardless of background or experience, should have access to the life-changing benefits of strength training.

When she’s not in the clinic or the gym, Evie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two teenage sons—especially when she can convince them to play games with her. A lover of travel, she’s happiest exploring new places abroad or soaking up time in nature with her family. She also has a not-so-secret passion for baking cookies, hiking, and dancing (even if her skills are average, at best).
