    Intro To Natural Movement Practices

    Intro to Natural Movement Practices

    Description:

As humans, we are natural movers — but somewhere along the way, we’ve started to forget that.

Many of us run, lift, play sports, or practice yoga, yet few pause to explore how our bodies are truly designed to move. The human body is capable of an incredible range of motion — balancing, crawling, rolling, lifting, throwing, catching, climbing, jumping, swimming, running, and more. When we specialize too early or too narrowly, we lose touch with this full spectrum of human movement.

In this beginner-friendly Intro to Natural Movement Practices, you’ll rediscover what your body was built to do. Starting from the ground up, you’ll learn fundamental movement patterns and how to integrate them into everyday life and training. You’ll leave the workshop seeing the world as your playground — ready to crawl, jump, balance, and flow your way toward greater strength, mobility, and confidence in motion.

Tune In & Move Better: An Interactive Movement Analysis Workshop

Discover what your movement is telling you—and how to move better, stronger, and with less pain.

Have you ever wondered why certain exercises don’t feel quite right—or why nagging aches show up even when you’re doing “everything right”?

Join us for Tune In & Move Better, an interactive movement workshop led by Anne Hilton, PT, DPT, CPT, SFS, CES, experienced physical therapist, strength coach, and founder of A. Hilton Therapeutic Fitness. With over a decade of experience helping people move with confidence, Anne combines clinical expertise with practical strategies that empower you to take ownership of your body.

This session goes beyond stretching and strengthening—it's about learning to see and understand your unique movement patterns and potential compensations that could lead to injuries or limit your training progress.

    What to expect:

🧠 Learn the “why”: Why muscle imbalances and movement dysfunctions and compensations matter—and how they could lead to injury, pain, or plateaus. Why it is important to build a good foundation of proper form and technique with functional movement patterns before progressing weight and compound exercises.
👀 Partner-based movement analysis: With step-by-step guidance and a provided worksheet, you’ll work in pairs to assess 1–3 foundational movement patterns (no experience needed!).
💡 Get personalized insight: Once common imbalances are identified, the group will learn targeted stretches and isolated strength exercises to help restore balance.
📝 Take-home tools: Leave with a clearer understanding of your body’s needs—and what to do about it.

This is a fun, educational, and hands-on evening that blends physical therapy, strength training, and self-awareness. Perfect for all levels—from beginners to lifters wanting to prevent injury and optimize performance.

    Come curious. Leave stronger.
