Coach Women. Build Strength. Change Lives.

We’re hiring a certified personal trainer to lead small, science-backed morning group classes for women of all ages—supporting confidence and lifelong strength in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment.

Join The Team

Strength changes lives—and at The Strength Initiative, we see that every day.

From first-time lifters to women rebuilding strength for long-term health, our gym is a place where women feel supported, capable, and empowered. We’re hiring a certified personal trainer who believes that lifting is more than exercise—it’s a tool for confidence, bone health, and longevity—and who wants to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

The Role

We’re seeking a Certified Personal Trainer who loves coaching, believes in women’s strength, and wants to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

You’ll coach women across the lifespan—many of whom are beginners or returning to strength training—and you’ll help them build strength, confidence, and consistency through safe technique and thoughtful progression.

Schedule (Early morning hours required)

Our current need is for coaches who can commit to:

  • Two or more weekday mornings

  • 6:00am and 7:00am classes

  • Consistent weekly availability

If you love early mornings and building long-term relationships with clients, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead small-group, science-backed strength training sessions

  • Coach technique, bracing, and movement quality with attention to safety

  • Build confidence through clear cues and supportive progressions

  • Create a welcoming environment where women feel comfortable starting (or restarting)

  • Contribute to a team culture centered on community, inclusivity, and empowerment

  • Optional growth opportunities in events, education, mentorship, and program development

Who You’ll Coach

  • Women ages 20s–70s+

  • Many beginners, postmenopausal women, and “I’ve never lifted before” clients

  • Women who want strength for health, longevity, bone health, and confidence

  • Small groups (never overcrowded, never chaotic)

Qualifications

Required

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)

  • Comfortable coaching resistance training and foundational barbell movements

  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence

  • Reliable, professional, and punctual—especially for early mornings

  • Mission-aligned: you genuinely want to support women’s strength

Nice to Have

  • Experience coaching women, beginners, or older adults

  • Interest in women’s health, bone health, or longevity

  • Exercise physiology / kinesiology / allied health background

  • Interest in growing beyond “just coaching classes”

Why Coach With TSI

  • Mission-driven work that tangibly changes women’s lives

  • Supportive team environment—you’re not coaching in isolation

  • No non-compete clause (we believe great coaches should thrive)

  • Competitive per-class pay with room to grow

  • Growth pathways into:

    • Program leadership

    • Workshops and education roles

    • Mentorship and community events

    • Future leadership as TSI expands

  • A gym culture that prioritizes quality over volume

Compensation

Coaches are paid per class. Current rates range from $40–$45 per class, depending on experience, certification, and role within the team. Opportunities for additional paid roles and leadership growth are available as The Strength Initiative continues to expand.
