Elizabeth (Liz) Clark

VICE PRESIDENT

Liz Clark is a Richmond native with a dynamic career spanning nonprofit strategy, international development, and higher education consulting. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of WilsonClark Associates & Consulting Coop of Central Virginia, where she serves as a trusted advisor to nonprofits and NGOs across the U.S., Central America, and Eastern Europe. Previously, Liz held leadership roles including Chief Strategy Officer at Royall & Company (now EAB), and served in the administration of Governor L. Douglas Wilder as Governor’s Assistant for Clemency and Editor for Commonwealth Publications. She holds an MBA in International Business from Georgetown University and a BA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Liz's journey back to fitness began after a long hiatus following the birth of her son. In recent years, she reconnected with strength training and was immediately drawn to The Strength Initiative’s mission. She joined the board with enthusiasm, excited to help build a community around strength, health, and empowerment for women—especially as she prepares for her son to leave for college and seeks new, meaningful connections. She looks forward to becoming a regular presence at TSI as she relocates closer to town.

Outside of work, Liz is passionate about travel (the more offbeat, the better), literature, gardening, and spending time with family and her dogs. A former novelist and poet, she still enjoys writing for herself. Though self-proclaimed tone deaf, she’s an avid lover of music, art, and dance.
