Alexandra de Guzman is a former Division I tennis player, kinesiology graduate, and the founder and head coach of Apex Performance Center. Originally from Holmdel, New Jersey, Alexandra has spent her career helping athletes and individuals build strength, movement skills, and confidence through sport and training.

Fitness has always been a central part of Alexandra’s life. She began lifting during her college tennis career and has continued strength training ever since. A lifelong “gym rat,” she enjoys training at a variety of gyms, including The Strength Initiative! She also incorporates mobility work and yoga into her weekly routine to stay balanced and resilient.

At this stage of her life, Alexandra is especially passionate about women’s health across the lifespan. She enjoys supporting young athletes to women navigating the many physical changes that come with aging. Joining The Strength Initiative allows her to combine her background in coaching and movement with a mission that prioritizes long-term strength, health, and community for women.

Outside the gym, Alexandra loves tennis, traveling, and keeping up with the latest fitness and health podcasts. She lived in Spain for two years and speaks Spanish, has traveled to 37 countries, and enjoys staying active with jump rope and agility training. Most importantly, she and her wife are busy raising their three young children who keep life energetic and full.
